With an eye on details, the Meadows at Mossy Creek is a stunning wedding venue for both indoor and outdoor events alike. It is located at the foothills of the North Georgia mountains and features a gorgeous view of Mount Yonah!
This North Georgia wedding venue is filled with windows showing off the spectacular view! At the entrance, a glass wall of windows climb toward the apex of the elegant white barn. Inside, another wall of windows reveal the rolling meadows and mountain view beyond. Outside, Flowers and rocks border the half moon shape manicured lawn. A stone aisle runs down the center leading to a perfect place for a bride and groom to say I do as Mount Yonah looks on in the background.
Inside
Inside, whitewashed walls lead to a cathedral style ceiling with even more windows to let in light. Down the center, three iron ring chandeliers gently laced with floral garland hang from wooden beams. In addition, the high ceiling is bookended by hanging flower boxes filled with pale flowers and feathery greenery. A movable ivy wall accentuates the far end of the spacious hall allowing for another backdrop. And don’t forget about those amazing windows that showcase the breathtaking mountain view. When the doors are open the beautiful barn takes on an open air feel harmoniously bringing the inside and outside together.
On the Side
For added comfort and fun, white lights are strung above the side lawn where a comfortable outdoor sofa seating area is located. There is also a large chiminea to add some warmth to the festivities. Some couples have used this area for corn hole games. Others have set up a band and turned it into an outdoor dance party.
Getting Ready
Today, a venue isn’t complete without somewhere for the wedding party to dress. Knowing this, the Meadows has created special areas meeting the needs of both the bride and groom. The charming Bridal Cottage has three beauty stations for doing makeup and hair. In addition, the whitewashed walls and multiple windows make it great for those fun getting ready photos.
On the other hand, the groom and groomsmen usually take less time to get ready. Therefore, they are in need of some entertainment. Golf anyone? The groom’s party can take advantage of the three whole putting green behind their designated getting ready room. This little competition among the men can help ease some wedding day jitters.
Cottages
Wait! What about those out of town guests, or family members, or the wedding party that need a place to stay overnight for the wedding. No problem. Just a short trail through the woods leads to three overnight cottages. Each cottage consists of three separate bedrooms containing a queen and a set of bunk beds. In addition, the center room of each cottage includes a fridge and other amenities along with the queen sized bed and set of bunk beds. In total, the three cottages have nine rooms available for overnight guests.
Becoming Part of the Family
As if this all isn’t perfect enough, the owners Karson and Calah are wonderful. They are so friendly and welcoming. It is obvious that the Meadows at Mossy Creek is a labor of love for this young couple and their family.
Finally, becoming part of the family, couples leave their mark by signing the kitchen doors, and leaving boutonnieres pinned to the doorframe. They are now officially Meadows Couples sharing a bond with the beautiful venue that helped make their special day perfect.
